National Dairy Council® (NDC) is the nutrition research, education and communications arm of Dairy Management Inc™. On behalf of U.S. dairy farmers, NDC provides science-based nutrition information to, and in collaboration with, a variety of stakeholders committed to fostering a healthier society, including health professionals, educators, school nutrition directors, academia, industry, consumers and media.
Established in 1915, NDC comprises a staff of nutrition science researchers, registered dietitians and communications experts dedicated to educating the public on the health benefits of consuming milk and milk products throughout a person’s lifespan. In addition, NDC funds independent research to aid in the ongoing discovery of information about dairy foods’ important role in a healthy lifestyle. This research provides insights to industry for new dairy product innovation.
In partnership with its network of state and regional dairy councils, NDC disseminates nutrition programs, materials and research to support government recommendations for improved nutrition for Americans, including consumption of at least three servings of nutrient-rich low-fat or fat-free milk and milk products a day.

As a brand leader that believes in the power of sport and the promise of young fans, and whose players embody health and fitness, the National Football League (NFL) and its Clubs are committed to engaging youth and their families in every community to make the next generation the most active and healthy generation. The NFL’s commitment to youth health and fitness spans across the United States and abroad, and has a history as long as the NFL itself.
The NFL provides very credible examples of high-achieving, dedicated and motivated athletes, who, overall, represent the qualities (physical and psychological) that students admire when they consider their own physical capabilities, skills and goals. As a response to this, the NFL has developed a league-wide health and fitness campaign that builds upon a solid internal foundation and relationships with schools, partners and community organizations. The NFL aspires to motivate youth at every age—boys and girls—and has a long history of doing so. From development strategies including formal grant programs, public policy advocacies and curriculum development, to public service and charitable work through its Clubs and individual players, the NFL has demonstrated this commitment for more than 30 years.
In addition to its national and Club commitments, the NFL has developed partnerships with leading industry partners and education and health organizations across the country. Some of the organizations with which NFL has partnered include Action for Healthy Kids, the American Heart Association, the United Way, the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and the National Afterschool Association.
Fuel Up to Play 60 will build upon existing NDC and NFL programs including 3-A-Day of Dairy and the NFL’s youth health and fitness campaign, NFL PLAY 60. 3-A-Day of Dairy is a program designed to educate Americans on the health benefits of consuming three servings of low-fat and fat-free milk, cheese or yogurt a day. NFL PLAY 60: The NFL Movement for an Active Generation encourages kids and their families to be active for at least 60 minutes each day.
