Information Collection and Use
"Personal Information" means information that can identify a specific individual (including those under 13 years of age on a limited basis), such as your name, address, phone number, email address, or other contact information, whether at work or at home. Personal Information that we collect includes gender, grade, state, zip code, school, username and password that, in and of itself, is not personally identifiable.
In all cases in which we collect Personal Information, we specifically describe what information is collected in order to provide you with the activity, service, or feature you have requested.
The Fuel Up to Play 60 website collects Personal Information when you contact us, when you register, when parental notice or consent is required, when you use any and all related activities, services, or features, when you participate in a contest, and when you refer your friends to the website.
We do not ask for or save any Personal Information from users under thirteen-years-old. There is the option to provide student email address, as well as their parent's email address, but this is optional and may be removed at any time from their account. In the case where a user contacts us via the “Contact Us” area of the website, we will respond to this one-time email and delete any email address that is associated with a user under the age of 13. Parents of users under the age of 13 may request to review change or delete the Personal Information collected from children on the site by emailing their children's username, and their request through the Fuel Up to Play 60 Contact Us form.
Registration for The Fuel Up to Play 60 Website
If your child wants to register on the Fuel Up to Play 60 website, we will request that your child provide us with his or her gender, grade, school, state, and ZIP code. If they would like to provide a personal email address, they can but it is optional and not required to complete the registration process. If a parent email is provided, we will use your email address to send you an email notifying you that your child has joined Fuel Up to Play 60 and to give you the opportunity to opt your child out of the program. A parent email address will be requested if your child applies to be a Student Ambassador or if your child is under the age of 13 and wants to participate in a Fuel Up to Play 60 Challenge. Some personal information is requested during both the Challenge and Student Ambassador submission process, for your child’s safety, Fuel Up to Play 60 will send a notification email for your (the parent's) to alert you and allow you to opt them him/her out if you are not comfortable with their participation. We also offer your child the opportunity to refer a friend to Fuel Up to Play 60, in which case we will ask for your child to provide us with their friend’s email address. We will email the friend to let them know how to get involved in the program, but will not use their email address for anything else. Providing the friend’s email address helps the registered child earn rewards. The email address is stored to keep track of the rewards but in such a way that eliminates part of the email address so that it is not personally identifiable.
You are required to register in order to use select features of the Fuel Up to Play 60 website such as being able to use the Tracker, submit a Challenge entry or update profile information. However a child’s participation or access to an activity cannot be conditioned on him or her providing more Personal Information than is reasonably necessary for that activity.
Parents have the right to refuse further collection and use and deletion of their child’s personal information. Please see the “Access to your Information” section for instructions on how.
