2nd Annual Jag Bowl - Flag Football

As the flag football unit ended in physical education, students in all classes participated in a Super Bowl styled Flag Football game to determine who had the best team. We used the Flag Football equipment and football yard markers to enhance the vibe of the game. Although two games ended in a tie, the overall outcome was that all the students enjoyed themselves and the teamwork helped aid their experience.

How did you accomplish your goals?

After all was said and done, I turned over the game to the students. They used prior knowledge and what they learned throughout the unit to help make the game fun, fair and a successful event.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Time was our biggest concern in two classes, because one class ended and lead to a tie while the other classes lost time on the front end because of lunch transitions.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The Play will be implemented with a new bunch of kids next semester and will lead to an All Star team game against the grade level teams from each semester.
