Brook Park has a total of 653 students and 604 of them eat breakfast every day. The staff, along with the students, help delivery breakfast to the classrooms. We leave the breakfast in the rooms so that every student has a chance to eat at school, whether their bus is late, they oversleep, or even if their mom's car won't start. The breakfast is always waiting for them to arrive.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The cafe ladies make up breakfast trays. We put the trays on a cart. The students, along with a staff member, come down in the morning to pick up the carts and deliver them to each room. The breakfast is left so that they can eat anytime.

How did you accomplish your goals?

I was able to accomplish my goals by working as a team with the staff and students. We are more then just a school of supporters - we are a family.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

By offering the students a nourishing and healthy breakfast every day and with the support of the teacher helping the students know that it is important for them to eat a healthy breakfast so they can learn.
