A Week of Dancing in December
After meeting with my Westwood FUTP 60 Ambassadors, we decided that there need to be dancing Brain Breaks. We looked for songs from different decades, starting with The Twist 1959 thru 2015’s Whip/ Ne Ne. The Ambassadors would make a short announcement telling a little bit about each song prior to it being played throughout the building each day. There was dancing in the gym, library, art room, hallways, anywhere there were kids! The feedback was amazing. And we hope to continue when we get back from Christmas break!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The Westwood Ambassadors approached our Principal and proposed the idea. He got all the details and said sure!! We gave him the list of songs for the week and we sent emails to the teachers so they were aware of what we had planned. Fun was had by everyone and the kids learned a few new dances!
