This year, Webster’s Fuel Up to Play 60 group has promoted physical activity and healthy eating in the following ways:
Marched in the homecoming parade advertising our group at the start of the year.
Made smoothies multiple times and distributed them at lunches and for certain winning homerooms.
Held multiple after school events open to anyone featuring: dodgeball, indoor soccer, floor hockey, ping-pong, volleyball, basketball, and indoor 4 square.
We held multiple taste testing events for winners of prizes for various homerooms. Samples included: yogurt parfaits, milk, oranges, apples, cereal, orange juices, pancakes, and smoothies. We also held meetings after school to plan and create items to promote our group throughout the year.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
