The FUTP 60 team leads after-school dodgeball for the month of November; students 4th through 8th grade get to play dodgeball. The FUTP 60 team organizes the event, leads the activity, and supports being active for 60 minutes every day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students came up with the idea, asked the appropriate adults for permission to offer the activity, got approval for the gym, and presented it to the students.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Kids who do not participate in organized sports will do this. It is great to see the variety of kids playing together.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge is rules and keeping the environment safe. The FUTP 60 team developed the rules and wanted to be the ones reinforcing them. They found refereeing was harder than it looked!!
