Bestie Valley Elementary students chose the Ramp Up for Recess play in order to encourage classmates to be more active during recess. For their kick-off event, they invited Kyle Cook (former football player for MSU, MN Vikings, and Cincinnati Bengals) to present to the student body about the importance of daily physical activity and how important food is to fueling that activity. Students then participated in several activity centers supervised by high school athletes; including jump roping, balloon tennis, parachute games, ladder drills, and animal races. It was an exciting start for their Ramp Up for Recess play.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Student team leaders will be organizing a recess each week to teach the student body new games and activities to be played during recess.
