Community Playtime – It’s Good for Everyone

Families from our school community came out to play together! Families played on campus, rode or ran through the neighborhood together, and some won prizes! Community partners like our local fire department, HEB, and high school student volunteers helped make the event successful.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Adults organized the event and students promoted it on the morning announcements.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students are more excited about healthy eating and physical activity than they were before. They take pride in their food and exercise choices.
