On October 21, students and staff at Thomasville Primary School participated in Apple Crunch Day. In celebration of Farm to School month, students were all given an apple when coming through the lunch line. At 12 noon, there was an announcement made that it was "CRUNCH TIME!" and everyone took a bite from their apple. This was a great opportunity to learn about how we get fresh fruits and veggies and bring them straight from the local farms to our school.
How did you accomplish your goals?
Students and staff were able to work together by each getting an apple to eat on Apple Crunch Day. Being able to have access to these apples is a huge deal because they can relate getting fresh fruits locally and bringing them to school.
