We made these with our Leaders.They absolutely loved the whole process! They also loved all the ingredients!
1 cup of yogurt
half of a banana
2 strawberries cut up or whole, 5 blueberries, 8 raspberries, 1/4 cup of granola
These parfaits are very nutritious and a very healthy snack! Dairy is a great source of calcium, potassium and magnesium! All these help us grow big and strong!!
How did students and adults work together as a team?
I showed them how to make the parfaits my way and told them they could do it my way or their own way. I told them they had all the right ingredients to make a healthy snack any way!
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
I plan doing several healthy snacks with and with out dairy throughout the year. I feel that the students need to see that there are other options.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The only challenge we encountered was not having enough bananas to go around. Other than that, we had a great time!!
