Students come in before school and are allowed to participate in physical activities during breakfast time and before school.
How did you accomplish your goals?
We decide to let students participate in before school activities to help develop social skills and team work.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
We asked for volunteers to help supervise the students that wanted to participate in the chosen activities, developing a general interest in activities outside of class time.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
One challenge was determining which activities would draw interest for students. By rotating activities, our participating number would change. We decide to let students sign up ahead of time to have an idea of the number of students and adjust accordingly. Our other challenge is space with some of our activities. We rotate different groups, so that more people can participate before school.
