With the materials that we were awarded, we had a couple of days in the fall to play Flag Football. The materials (flags and footballs) are being heavily used during our morning exercises before school as well as during recess time after lunch. We also have our middle school football team using the Flag Football materials for pick up games.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The students are very eager to use any new equipment which increases their fitness.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We used the footballs to increase interest and physical activity on the football field before school, during PE, and on the playground during recess.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Getting teams organized during recess, if not led by an adult, caused confusion among the students. I ended up selecting a few students to be the official team organizers.
