It is near the end of the school year and in physical education classes we have practiced our skills for softball. This year the Fuel Up to Play 60 team at Roth decided to have a before-school softball/whiffle ball tournament (weather depending) right before those end of the year exams get started. The Fuel Up to Play 60 team felt it would be supporting the skills learned during physical education class, a time to have fun and de-stress before the end of the school year.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students decided on the event, the dates and times. Students designed the posters to promote the event. Students were the officials for the softball games. The adults promoted the event during morning announcements and in physical education classes. The adult advisor designed teams that were competitive to add to the fun of the event.
