Physical Activity Participation

This year for FUTP 60, we chose to promote healthy choices throughout the school. We have been doing our healthy tip of the day during our morning announcements. We also participated in the build your own smoothie challenge this year. The students created two healthy smoothies and after taste testing each, voted on their favorite. We also introduced a health lesson this year in the curriculum to cover healthy eating choices and knowledge of the food pyramid. We are proud to have multiple students who have achieved ambassador status this year. We are looking forward to having even more participants next year as many students have expressed interest!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students worked together to come up with smoothie recipes to try and submit. The food service staff ordered all the necessary ingredients and helped to make these smoothies with the students. Teachers allowed for Physical Education class to be in their classrooms during our health unit.
