Bonnie the Dairy Cow
Thank you Bonnie the Dairy Cow and our instructor Mr. Garret Wilson for visiting our school! They gave us a wonderful demonstration and lots of information about dairy farms and how milk goes from cow to table.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our school worked with the University of Arizona, our food service department and other schools in the area to coordinate a school outreach schedule so that we were able to have a mobile dairy classroom demonstration.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Scheduling was a bit tricky but Jen from our local district was able to organize a scheduling link online so that schools could coordinate and use up all the time slots available. That way, all students were able to have a great experience.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

This is the second time our school has done this and we could see how excited students were to learn more about dairy. The mobile classroom allows students to be fully engaged. Students are also able to learn new facts, view a slide show presentation and ask questions. As a school, we can see how students are improving during presentations and when asked comprehension questions.
