With a upgraded fitness center, all students get a chance to get a jump start on heart health every day even if its only a few minutes each day. The goal is to include all students into a fun setting that enhances their motivation to be more fit on a daily basis.
How did you accomplish your goals?
Baby steps! we built a fitness center that was based on student interest and the most interesting set up that would allow students to feel comfortable working out and having fun at the same time. We added cardio machines that students said they would love to try and work out on. It worked, but we still need to expand to take on the needs of all of our students, including special needs and adapted Physical education students.
