The students of Kellman wanted to demonstrate the importance of eating a healthy breakfast, as promoted through the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. They got together and planned a skit. The skit showed a student eating an unhealthy breakfast and those eating healthy breakfasts encouraging her to eat healthy. They had a lot of fun planning and doing the skit. They concluded that good students eat breakfast. The best students eat a healthy breakfast.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
The students are eating more of their breakfast and not wasting it. They see the importance of breakfast. They look forward to moving around more and being more physically active. They are looking forward to starting the Fuel Up to Play 60 Movement Club in February 2017.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
We planned together and the students took the initiative for writing and doing the skit.
