Bournedale Healthy Action Team
Wow! What a year we have had so far! We have approximately 56 Student Ambassadors on our Healthy Action Team along with about 12 very involved parents. This group meets monthly to plan events and create new ideas! I am just going to list some of what the Healthy Action Team has accomplished this year: Walking school bus each month, Taste Tests each month, School Store each week, Pizza Chefs each week, Ninja Warrior Night Kick-off event, Glow Run family night, installation of new basketball hoops on the playground, Weekend family hikes each Saturday, Pickleball for teachers each week, Pogo in PE fall and spring, Rising New York Road Runners before school in fall. Plus, here is what is coming up: We purchased and soon will install a gaga pit on the playground! We will hold our first ever Pogothon! We will be pen pals with a school in Australia. Ambassadors will presenting at the science expo talking about heart rate using the Adidas zone heart rate monitors purchased with grant money and healthy action team events!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

This team is terrific working together whether we are coming up with ideas for new initiatives or working together to supervise events! The grade four Ambassadors take their responsibilities very seriously!
