Brain Breaks at Family Movie Nights
Last school year, Blair Elementary School received a Fuel Up to Play 60 Fitness Kit. The student team has consistently used it to help encourage their classmates to take short Brain Breaks, especially during testing. For the 2018-2019 school year, the team at Blair Elementary has worked together to use the kit during other events. At a Family Movie Night, the team decided to use items from the Fitness Kit to get attendees moving for 30 minutes before the movie began. Said Laurie Lijewski, a Fuel Up to Play 60 program advisor, “It was a perfect use of the equipment to help get the wiggles out!” Using simple equipment, student leaders, and a little imagination, Fuel Up to Play 60 is helping Blair Elementary School students stay active!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our students have really enjoyed having more options for moving. They get excited when they see the kit come to their classroom!
