This year we are working on taking 5 - 7 minute brain breaks throughout the day to give our brains a break and our bodies a boost. Teachers were given resources to use to help with brain break opportunities. Some used GoNoodle and others used ideas I sent from the FUTP 60 resources website. Teachers and students felt the brain breaks were not only beneficial for learning, but great for getting a little extra activity in each day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Some teachers started sharing ways they take brain breaks in their classroom and several teachers let their students choose activities they would enjoy.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The benefits speak for themselves, it is easy to sell an idea that works. The teachers see first hand that brain breaks help to increase productivity and maintain focus, they will continue what works.
