Brain Breaks in the Classroom
Several teachers went to a summer training and gathered information on physical activities in the classroom. These teachers came back to school in the fall and presented a workshop for the school. They presented data that they had received which really motivated the other teachers to get on board.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The teachers taught the lessons and moves and then after several weeks the students were allowed to choose the activity in which they wanted to participate.

How did you accomplish your goals?

The teachers that went to the summer training presented the idea to the other teachers. The teachers were very excited to see a peer teacher presenting this information. They were more open to try the activities.
