Breakfast is for Everyone

Make Your Case for School Breakfast
Access to Healthy Foods
My school has a Fuel Up to Play 60 homeroom. We meet each morning before our first hour class. Students in this homeroom make daily announcements to promote the next day's breakfast menu. We also remind students of the cost $1.60 and that everyone is welcome. Students use their personal talents to promote the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students work together to make sure that breakfast menu choices are current. We also taste test some of the new items.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our students are focused on the goal and complete their weekly assignment of having their announcement ready for their assigned day.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

This is an easy assignment for my group. We will continue announcements throughout the year. We will also begin to promote new lunch choices.
