We had an in-school Flag Football Tournament with all students in physical education. The tournament lasted two weeks. It was a double elimination tournament.. We have 36 different P.E. classes: 12 6th grade, 12 7th grade, and 12 8th grade. We were able to crown a champion for each class in each grade level. We then were able to have the class champions face each other during a planning period, resulting in 1 champion for each grade level (3). Students worked together, learning leadership and communication skills, and all got physical activity.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

More school spirit. The kids talk about it all of the time and take pride in their performance.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The P.E. teachers taught the rules and organized the tournament. The students played the games and the teachers refereed the games.
