Bring Your Parent to PE Day was held on March 11, 2016, which coincided with Texas Public School Week. We are one of the largest elementary campuses in the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District and we service 646 students from Kinder through 5th grade. We hosted Bring Your Parent to PE Day because we wanted our parents to know that we value their support and involvement in their child’s life both academically and in regards to the level of physical fitness that their children get on a daily basis.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We provided a variety of age appropriate activities for the parents to readily enjoy with their children. We offered activities that ranged from moderate to vigorous levels of physical activity. We also took into account the number of participants that could safely engage in the activities at one time while maximizing the time our students and parents spent being physically active.
