This has been an exciting year for Adams Spanish Immersion and the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Last year we had 5 energetic students founding our FUTP 60 program. This year we have had 15-20 4th and 5th grade students participating on a regular basis. Three of our 5th graders have been true leaders and are always up to the challenge of improving our program. This week we are hosting an assembly for our 3rd through 5th grade students. We want our students to have a better knowledge of what FUTP 60 is all about and encourage future growth of our program.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge we face is finding a common meeting time for the students who want to be involved. With administration permission and classroom teacher cooperation, we were able to find 20 minutes once a month to meet and work together.
