Building Bodies and Brains with Breakfast
Students have access to a nutritious meal in the morning with breakfast for all students. Grab and Go Breakfast is also an option for students. In addition to breakfast, students have access to a nutritious meal before they go home for the day. Students are offered milk for breakfast, lunch and dinner, allowing them to fuel their bodies and focus their brains for success throughout the day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Parents, teachers, staff and students all work together in order to receive meals, eat and dismiss from school in an efficient manner.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Meals needed to be served after school- schedules were adjusted to allow for compliance. More students wanted Grab and Go options and worked with cafeteria team to determine how more students can access Grab and Go vs. the tray breakfast.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Nutritious meals offered throughout the day have set students up for success in the classroom and fueled them to engage in more rigorous physical activity on the playground and in PE class.
