Physical Activity Participation

In-class physical activity breaks are now a regular part of our school day. Teachers were provided Brain Break books along with an education session on how to implement in-class physical activity breaks. Teachers and students are now experiencing the benefits of being active throughout the school day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

With the leadership of the PE teacher, all teachers came to understand the benefits of allowing a few minutes of class time to be used for getting students active. The students are more energized and enjoy leading the brain break activities.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The teachers will continue to use the brain break books, which were supplied as a tool from our FUTP 60 grant funds. They see the benefits of allowing a few minutes during each class for student movement.
