Student Leadership

Our student Ambassadors work hard, so I rewarded them at a work meeting with (student-selected, of course!) make-your-own trail mix Greek yogurt parfaits and free play time in our school's fitness room. After fueling up and playing, they were awesome in their planning session for our current Play, working to add healthy food options to our school concession stands.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

A few Ambassadors have shown dedication and leadership, so I meet with them to plan the club meetings. They set up and run the meetings, and lead worktime. This level of involvement gives them ownership of the healthy changes they make in our school.
