Campbell Wellness Night

In February we had our first ever Wellness Night at Campbell. We used Funds from Fuel Up to Play 60 to provide a healthy meal of chili and cinnamon rolls, as well as fruit, vegetables, low-fat cheese, wheat crackers, water and juice. Families enjoyed being able to have a free meal before they went and visited the community health booths and participated in the physical activities. Many businesses set up informational booths such as Prairieland Dairy, Bike Safety, Tobacco Education, Bright Lights, Lincoln Children's Zoo, Pediatricians, Dentist, Chiropractor, Hy Vee grocery and 5,4,3,2,1 Go. Throughout the gym and multipurpose areas, we had physical activity stations set up for families to get active. We had jump ropes, hula hoops, soccer, climbing wall, obstacle course, giant Jenga, boot camp stations, Wii Dance, and GoNoodle. Families had a wonderful time working out together. They were able to win prizes such as games, balls, jump ropes, and smoothie blenders. The night was a huge success!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The adults and students worked out together doing physical activities. It was a great time for families to bond while doing brain break activities.
