Carroll Elementary Fit Club
Fit Club members are 4th and 5th graders who commit to staying after school one day a week for a boot-camp style workout! We all work together to improve cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and strength. We purchased Fit Club shirts, which members proudly wear on Fit Club day. We also encourage members to participate in local 5k races. Fit Club members are encouraged to spread the message to their friends to make healthy eating choices (Fuel Up) and to get 60 minutes of physical activity a day (to Play 60). We are very proud to be a FUTP 60 school and truly appreciate your support.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Students are taught the importance of physical fitness and friendship. Enjoyment is found in meeting after school and exercising together. We talk about Fuel Up to Play 60's message of getting 60 minutes of physical activity each day. I have used FUTP 60 t-shirts and other goodies to incentivize students to give their best effort.
