A group of about eight students had interest in a Walking Club. We are hoping the weather gets nicer so we can gather more students and walk outside on our school track. The group also thought it would be fun to have a walking challenge. Homerooms could compete against other homerooms to see who had obtained the most walking miles.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The students are really hoping for warm weather to track their walking miles outside on our track. They are trying to come up with ways they can track within the school and find places to walk other than our gym

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We are in the beginning stages and the group would like to add over 100 students in our group. They want students to walk to school more often and find a way to reward those who do, especially now with the weather warming up.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

They have the support of their homeroom teacher, Patsy Hendricks
