Cedar Creek Elementary Race for the Future
Cedar Creek has many staff and students take part in the annual Race for the Future. The Race is a 5K run/walk and was held on October 8. The run raised about $45,000 to benefit the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation and the Carrie Foresee Scholarship Fund. A total of 880 runners and walkers registered for the event. Monies support scholarships for classroom grants and technology grants.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The Race is held every year so the staff will continue to work with the students to get them prepared after school starts and also help them get signed up. This is something anyone can participate in, you can walk, jog, run, push a stroller, so not only the student and staff participate, all families can too. This is a great family friendly activity event.
