"Charging Up" Our Community!
Our Fuel Up to Play 60 grant funds helped us to "Charge Up" our community! We had a Community Family Fitness Challenge event on where over 150 of our students and community members came out for a great evening of family, fitness and fun! We had 7 challenges for families to complete together including physical activities and a taste test wheel challenge where families had to chance their luck with taste test items listed on the wheel! After completing each challenge, participants were given an ingredient to create a secret recipe which was our "Super Charged" Healthy snack mix! After completing all 7 challenges, families were entered into a drawing to win family fitness items and a local health club pass to help them continue their health and wellness goals at home!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We had wonderful volunteers for our events. The High School leadership team helped at the family fitness event, our high school athletes came over to the elementary school to eat breakfast with the younger students to help motivate them to start their school day off right with school breakfast, and our physical education department and food service department all worked together to implement all of our events!
