Success with Funds

As a Fuel Up to Play 60 team, every month we offer a healthy snack taste test during our lunch hour for students to try different foods. This month was a cheese taste test. Every month, two of my team members run the taste test. It works well because older kids come up to get the taste test item once they are finished eating and we deliver to the table for the younger kids.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We worked together as a team by coming up with an item to taste test each month. The kids cut up all the cheese and delivered it to students.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

By having the taste tests, students have been more open to trying new items they have never tried before.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We have funds to offer a taste test every month of the school year.
