Cheese Tasting at Logan
The fourth graders at Logan Elementary participated in a Cheese Tasting. The students sampled a variety of cheeses, crackers, deli meats, fruits and veggies. They enjoyed the event! Students described the food as yummy, delicious, and scrumptious.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I plan to ask the cafeteria staff to order cheese and offer samples at lunch to the entire student body.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students sampled a variety of cheeses provided by the cafeteria staff. The students showed excellent manners at the event. The wellness coach and cooks spoke to the students about the benefits of eating cheese in a balanced diet. The staff and students worked together to clean up the gym after the cheese tasting event.

How did you accomplish your goals?

My goal was for every fourth grader at my school to taste new foods, such as a variety of different cheeses. The students received a small sample of six different cheeses. I asked every child to take a bite and tell me their opinion of each cheese. Most students were surprised that they liked the cheese and even asked for second helpings.
