Cheese Tasting Event at Parkview Middle
Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team joins forces with our student council to host a fun after-school social where we have a cheese tasting table and bring in blow-up equipment such as a bungee run and a jousting arena to promote physical activities. The students love trying the cheeses such as cheddar, Swiss, pepper jack (which has been added to our school lunch menu) and we also sampled cottage cheese. The event is a huge success and we plan to participate in an end of year fun day which will be school-wide. Our team brings this all together and promotes it the week before during lunches. Fun was had by all.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students picked activities and promoted our event during lunches. Students also worked the different events hosted by FUTP 60.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan on introducing new cheeses and dairy products (e.g. hot chocolate) during the school year through food service.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished our goals through great team leadership, communication and planning by the students on the FUTP 60 team. They did a wonderful job.
