The Mini Monsters Clinic was help at Paddock School. The program which was brought to us with Advocate Health Care provided a youth program that stressed the importance of healthy eating, physical activity and proper hydration through fun, non-contact football drills. Paddock School participated in a 90-minute clinic outside on a beautiful day. We had 2-5th grade students participate in Fuel Up To Play 60 football drills. Mayor and Former Bears player Jim Schwantz was in attendance during the event. The message all students heard was to eat healthy and Play 60 Minutes A Day!
How did you accomplish your goals?
I was able to work with the Chicago Bears and provide Paddock students with 60 minutes of non stop activities.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
More students are attempting to get 60 minutes of physical activity and are eating healthier.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
Students are understanding the importance of playing 60 minutes a day. The speech the students heard really motivated many of them to play for 60 minutes a day.
