Access to Healthy Foods

We are trying new and healthy items on our self-serve bar. We also offer samples so the students know what they taste like. We provide information on the items so the students know where it comes from. On this particular day, we served Chinese cabbage and snow pea pods. Most of the students had never tried them outside of Chinese food and were very willing to try and let us know what they thought.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We introduced new items for the students to taste.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Many students were afraid to try, but we gave them a small sample so they could decide if they wanted a whole serving.
