Our staff created teams that competed against each other in the Walk Across Texas Challenge. It was fun and VERY competitive. It was amazing to see people who are usually not active, get active!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

This was an amazing experience. We saw many people who are not active get excited and active. they were walking during lunch time, breaks and after school. Their mile counts were incredible. Changes that I have seen is that this habit stuck. We will have another Spring semester challenge.
