The school sponsors a Color Run in which the whole school, including preschool, walks/run a mile and parents spray the students with color. The kids absolutely love this event and the grade with the highest participation in fundraising for this gets to participate in a gaga tournament.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The school gets 100% participation for this event because it is held during the school day.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The kids have to be somewhat cleaned off before entering back into the school to prevent extra cleanup in the building.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The school holds a fundraiser every year and this was started to replace selling cookie dough. The race has evolved over the years from a 5k walk/run to a one mile walk/run with COLOR!
