Community Involvement

We received a FUTP 60 grant last year with great involvement and excitement from our school, parents and students. Our Healthy Activity Play was the 100 Mile Club. The students loved the idea of running. So this fall we partnered with our community and church to host a color run. Our students, teachers and parents are excited to participate. We encouraged everyone to have a good breakfast and Fuel Up with dairy prior to the run. The run was Saturday, October 1, 2016.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We planned the Color Run with both adults and students.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We are keeping our students healthy and active. The 100 Mile Club from last year has allowed the kids to pursue running as a form of fun exercise.
