Community Involvement

Our student council planned, paid for, shopped, cooked, served, and cleaned up the Thanksgiving meal at our local free Monday night community dinner. Students created healthy eating, Thanksgiving place mats and worked with the local meal volunteers. They decided on a healthy menu.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students worked with the local volunteers that provide a free meal each week in our community. They also enjoyed interacting with the citizens who come to the event.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We would like to make this an event that we do once a trimester next year.
