Community Health Fair 2016

I am pleased to share the success of our Community Health Fair. I feel that through our health fair we incorporated many of the Fuel Up to Play 60 Plays. We had centers that incorporated our recess equipment, healthy food choices, community stations, dairy taste tests and safe and healthy choices. Community, staff and students visited many stations that included archery, gymnastics, healthy pizza, dairy dip, How much sugar is in my drink? and Make Good Driving Choices. Participants received a punch card and as they visited each station they got a punch on their card. At the end of the event punch cards were placed in a container for a drawing. Also all completed punch card recipients received a fitness token to place on a charm chain.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our school is incredible. Staff, students and community work together to accomplish most any goal. This event was put together by the staff. Events were hosted by community members. Our local archery club hosted one of the stations in which students got the opportunity to shoot a bow at a target. Local Ninja Warrior Club set up a warrior obstacle course. Gymnastic Club, Tanna Jo's Club 10 provided gymnastic experiences for all that attended. Healthy pizza was provided by our school.
