Student Leadership

Since beginning Fuel Up to Play 60 at our school, we have gathered a group of students to involve others in our mission to instill the importance of healthy lifestyles. These fifth grade students at our school make sure other younger students are eating breakfast each day and staying active. These students lead workouts and are leaders among their peers.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

As the Program Advisor at our school, I showed students ways to be leaders and developed strategies for them to use.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Each of our monthly positive behavior activities are based around our Fuel Up goal and plays.
