Since the beginning of the school year, students, teachers, and staff are invited to join the Fit Club at Jefferson Elementary. Teachers and staff engaged in physical activities along with the students. In January, when we started enrolling individuals to participate in our city's annual fun run/walk, we challenged all staff, students, and parents to participate.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Teachers and staff engaged in physical activities along with the students. Since they had all been involved since the beginning of school, the turnout was a great success.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

This year we had 100% staff participation, 72% students, and 350 family members that included parents, non-school-aged siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents that participated in the All America City 10K/Fun Run.
