Creating our healthy snacks

We created our own healthy snacks focusing on dairy, fruit, vegetables, and whole grains. Each team member chose their own yogurt, diced fruit and whole grain cereal before layering their "yummy in my tummy" parfait. The team also created a uniquely named smoothie that would inspire others to recreate it for their chosen healthy snack. Each group chose a flavored protein-rich Greek yogurt, frozen fruit and veggie based liquid. Some were a very strange color, but all were enjoyed!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Many students are engaging in discussions about healthy snacks and meals. Our cafeteria staff has ordered healthy snacks for our after school clubs and tutorials to enjoy!
