Creating Recess for ALL Students to Enjoy

First, we uploaded the survey to a Forms Document on Google to our Ipad stations. The Team Leaders took the Ipads and as partners interviewed students from each grade level to ask about what we need to make recess better. We then met with our principal and other school leaders to figure out how we can make this an action plan to have more games for access, some training for our staff to make games that are more structured and fun for everyone to play and to actually have a better system to take and put up our equipment so that we never lose anything. This is an ongoing process, but we are getting input from our PTA board as well to see what kind of funding we need to implement our plan.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I plan to train teachers who are wanting to help us make recess better to be able to know rules to some of the games that the students want to play at recess so that they will have more fun and move a lot more when the games are what they are familiar with from PE classes.
