Creekside Makes Healthy Choices

Creekside PE teacher, student Ambassadors, and food sevice workers worked together to apply for and recieve FUTP 60 Funds. With part of the Funds, the PE teacher rented a climbing wall for an all-school celebration. This activity was a fun and healthy way to celebrate Creekside stdents making good choices to be safe, respectful, and responsible. The rest of the Funds were used by food service to puchase a serving cart for lunch and breakfast. This cart contains colorful containers and displays that make our serving line more appealing and promote healthy choices. There are signs and posters explaining the benefits of making healthy choices. The children were excited to see the new display and know just where to find healthy choices on the serving line.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Food service will celebrate National School Lunch and Breakfast Weeks. We will continue to meet with our Youth Advisory Council and FUTP 60 Ambassadors, discussing healthy eating and activities.
