Physical Activity Participation

For the first time in a long time, our students receive extra recess every day. The new TN state law on physical activity has promoted students activity.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Time management is the biggest challenge. We have to adjust our schedule to help meet our activity goals.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

More students are moving and enjoying extra recess time.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Goals were accomplished by giving students the choice of what activity they wanted to do.
